ANBERNIC RG DDS, the 3DS-inspired console, will be available starting at $299

A new handheld console is entering an already highly competitive market. It’s the ANBERNIC RG DDS, a device that, as its name suggests, is heavily inspired by Nintendo’s 3DS.

It’s equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 processor and an Adreno A22 GPU. The device runs on Android 16 and features an active cooling system. It also features Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 6,000 mAh battery with 27 W fast charging. The top 4.7-inch screen offers a resolution of 1,200 × 720 pixels with a 5:3 aspect ratio. The bottom 4-inch screen has a resolution of 960 × 720 pixels and a 4:3 aspect ratio.

This ANBERNIC RG DDS is capable of running 3DS, PS2, PS3, and Xbox games in emulator mode. The version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage is priced at $299.99. The model equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage will cost $364.99.

Shipments will not begin until December 10, 2026. Pre-orders will be accepted through January 31, 2027.
