, by Thibaut
This week comes to a close with a big, big rumor. It concerns Sony's mid-generation console. Indeed, the hypothetical PS5 Pro has resurfaced via a report posted online by keytogaming. Naturally, we recommend all this info with a grain of salt.
According to the rumor, the PS5 Pro will be released around November 2024 and would be the Japanese manufacturer's last console before the PS6. This more powerful PS5, codenamed "Project Trinity", is currently being shown to professionals at selected events, with studios expected to receive development kits in November 2023.
In terms of technical specifications, the PS5 Pro will aim to improve game fluidity while retaining 4K and even be capable of running 8K titles with a lower framerate. Ray tracing will also see some improvements.
