For Ubisoft, Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard is "good news"

If the merger between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard seemed to worry many, some players in the video game industry see it as good news. This is particularly true of Yves Guillemot, president of Ubisoft.
The head of the French publisher was asked about the buyout during the announcement of Ubisoft's financial results (https://news.instant-gaming.com/en/articles/2242-ubisoft-still-has-10-games-to-release-before-april-1-2024) for the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
"I think it’s good news that the transaction can go through because it’s really showing the power of IPs and where the industry is going. So, there will be lots of opportunities too in the future for all the companies".
