The FTC puts its legal battle against Microsoft on hold
, by Thibaut
After a protracted legal battle lasting several weeks, Microsoft has finally won its case against the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for the purchase of Activision Blizzard. However, the FTC had originally intended to appeal the court's decision.
In the end, GamesIndustry reports that the FTC has withdrawn its internal administrative challenge, which was intended to block the takeover. The two parties will now be able to discuss the terms of the merger with Activision Blizzard out of court.
