Lollipop Chainsaw is getting an action-comedy movie for adult audiences
, by Thibaut
Lollipop Chainsaw is back in vogue lately. The franchise is getting a new entry, Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back, coming 2027, and a film adaptation has just been announced.
It will be a live-action feature film with both action and comedy. The game’s creators aim to establish "a new model for building globally recognized entertainment franchises from Asia." The film will be rated R and will serve as a prequel to the very first Lollipop Chainsaw.
Robert Franke, who is involved in the production of the adaptation, has stated that it "feels unmistakably true to the spirit of Lollipop Chainsaw while standing completely on its own." The director, cast, and release date have yet to be announced.
