Final Fantasy VII Revelation details the graphics modes on PS5

Graphically speaking, Final Fantasy VII Revelation isn’t expected to represent a big leap forward compared to its predecessors. Square Enix has stuck with Unreal Engine 4 to wrap up the trilogy as quickly as possible.

At the 2026 Tokyo Game Show, visitors can try out a demo and choose their display mode. The RPG features a 4K Quality mode that prioritizes rendering by locking the frame rate at 30 FPS. The 60 FPS Performance mode, meanwhile, offers two sub-profiles. The first emphasizes a sharp image with precise edges, while the second smooths the image for a softer look. These settings were already available in Rebirth.

Note that these options apply to the PS5 and likely to the Xbox Series X as well. Differences may apply on the Xbox Series S and Switch 2.
