Ratatan, the spiritual sequel to Patapon, launches Kickstarter on July 31

Patapon is a franchise of rhythm games that first appeared on PSP in 2008, with three different entries and remasters for PS4 released over the years. And since Sony no longer seems interested in the franchise, its creator is proposing a kind of spiritual sequel.

Thus brings us to today's game, Ratatan, a title imagined by Patapon director Hiroyuki Kotani and musician Kemmei Adachi. This new license will feature roguelike elements and multiplayer games for up to four players.

The crowdfunding campaign will launch on Kickstarter on July 31.
