The composer of The Last of Us Part II seems to be hinting at the existence of a "new version" of the game
, by Thibaut
To round off the week, here's a little rumour about The Last of Us. The composer of the soundtrack for both games, Gustavo Santaolalla, recently made some rather interesting comments.
The musician was modelled in The Last of Us Part II and can be seen in the town of Jackson at the start of the adventure. During an interview in Spanish, Santaolalla spoke of a "new version" in which the player will be able to ask him directly to play certain songs.
It's hard to say what this "new version" refers to. Some suggest a 'Director's Cut' of the second entry, or maybe a simple upgrade with full support for PS5 features. It could also be a PC version or just the multiplayer entry in development at Naughty Dog.
