(UPD) Silent Hill: Townfall will feature 5 possible endings, including 2 secret ones

This is some pretty interesting news. Silent Hill: Townfall will offer five different endings, including two secret ones to discover. In an interview with One More Game, series producer Motoi Okamoto and director Joe McKellan provided some details.

Unsurprisingly, the choices made throughout the adventure will directly influence the story’s outcome, in keeping with the series’ tradition. The two secret endings reportedly require fulfilling specific conditions during a New Game+ run and won’t be accessible during a normal playthrough, so the game encourages multiple playthroughs to explore all the narrative branches.

The different endings aren’t limited to simple variations in cutscenes but offer distinct perspectives on the events and characters. This multi-ending structure follows in the footsteps of previous Silent Hill games, all while placing greater emphasis on replayability.

One final note: players won’t need to unlock all the endings to complete the game, but the two secret endings should pose a pretty big challenge for completionists.

There are other interesting details about the game. The main campaign is said to last between 10 and 14 hours, and depends largely on how much time the player spends in the fog. Thus, subsequent playthroughs will be faster than the very first one.
