The big day is almost here: the highly anticipated Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is set to release on PS5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC this Thursday, July 9, 2026. Of course, the remake of the fourth installment in the series has also been reviewed by the press.
And here we have the first scores! Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has an average score of 88% on OpenCritic (70 reviews). The Metacritic score stands at 85% on PS5 (58 reviews), 84% on PC (28 reviews), and 80% on XBOX Series X (7 reviews). Of course, these may change in the coming hours.
Among the strengths of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, we can highlight the visual improvements, the naval battles, which by the way are as impressive as ever, a smoother parkour, and the better-paced combat.
However, reviewers also mention camera issues during combat, unremarkable new content, and a somewhat lackluster dynamic weather system. The Freedom Cry DLC not being included is also a shame.
