Persona 6 is set to be very different from its predecessors

Fans of Atlus' franchise will be in for a treat in the coming months with Persona 5 Tactica (November 17, 2023) and Persona 3 Reload (early 2024). Once these two titles have been released, the Japanese studio will discuss the future of the license...
That's when Persona 6 will make its entrance. According to a well-informed insider, the game will be different from its predecessors. Many developers are new to the development team in charge of the series, and some will have only worked on spin-offs.
Moreover, Atlus is not expected to talk about Persona 6 (codename "Carbon") until next year, after the release of yet another unannounced spin-off. Production is reportedly progressing well, however. Note that Metaphor: ReFantazio, Atlus' newest IP, will launc before the sixth entry.
Finally, Persona 6 will probably not be released on previous-generation consoles. A PS5 version is said to be on the cards, but it's impossible to say whether this will be an exclusive.
