Atlus gives us some new details about Metaphor: ReFantazio

While it may not have been the biggest announcement at the Xbox Games Showcase, Metaphor: ReFantazio has all the makings of a highly promising JRPG. Conceived by the creators of Persona, this groundbreaking new IP will arrive on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4 and PC next year.

In an interview, director Katsura Hashino told us a little more about his game. Metaphor: ReFantazio will be Atlus' third pillar alongside Persona** and Shin Megami Tensei**. While these two franchises are set in a modern context, Metaphor will go for high fantasy. Modern society will still be a key part of the title, but the heart of the game will take place in a fantasy setting.
