According to Sony, Game Pass has bad press with publishers

Microsoft and Sony are going head to head in the hearing between the American manufacturer and the FTC regarding the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. This week, PlayStation boss Jim Ryan spoke out against the acquisition.

Questioned on a number of subjects, Ryan didn't mince his words when it came to Xbox Game Pass. He explained that he had spoken to all the publishers "and they unanimously do not like Game Pass because it’s value destructive."

When Microsoft's lawyer asked whether the CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment had indeed spoken to "all the publishers", he replied that "this is a very commonly held view over many years by the publishers". However, this does not seem to stop Capcom, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft and Warner Bros. Games from offering some of their games in the service.
