Alan Wake 2 being digital only will give Remedy more time to polish the game
, by Thibaut
It's a choice that caused quite a stir when the game was re-revealed last month. Alan Wake 2 won't be available in any physical form. Remedy Entertainment's title will only be sold digitally on major online stores.
The Finnish studio explained its decision by pointing out that this will enable the game to be sold at a lower price (€59.99 on consoles and €49.99 on PC). Speaking to Eurogamer, director Sam Lake also added that his teams will also be able to spend more time fine-tuning Alan Wake 2. Since there will be no need to produce Blu-rays, Remedy will be able to work on its baby almost right up to the last minute.
