The PlayStation Network may simply be renamed PlayStation

Earlier this week, the website Insider Gaming reported that Sony plans to drop the PlayStation Network moniker for its gaming services. This change is expected to take place later this year.
At the time of reporting this information, Insider Gaming had not disclosed the service’s new name. However, internet users seem to have uncovered some clues on the matter… And it appears that the Japanese manufacturer didn’t put too much thought into it.
In fact, Sony has apparently already replaced several references to PlayStation Network with simply PlayStation. For example, a PlayStation account and not PSN is listed in the terms of service. The same applies to the status.playstation website, which is used to check service status, as well as in the connection status tab on the PS5.
