Abandoned, the PS5 ghost game, may not have been yet... abandoned
, by Thibaut
In 2021, a virtually unknown developer called Blue Box Game Studios announced a game called Abandoned. This survival horror game was featured in its own article on the PlayStation Blog and even received a PS5 app shortly afterwards.
Behind this project was a certain Hasan Kahraman, who played heavily on players' speculations. Indeed, many internet users had begun to speculate on the very nature of Abandoned, thinking that Hideo Kojima and Silent Hill were actually behind the title. The famous app, which was supposed to be updated regularly, contained only a measly five-second clip showing a character walking on a floor.
Once the hype died down, things started to get complicated. Everyone eventually realized that Kojima was not involved in the project and that no actual game really existed. Until today, we hadn't heard anything more about this title...
However, PS5 players noticed this week that Hasan Kahraman was playing a game called Abandoned: Gospels of Blood on his PS5. It's now difficult to know whether or not the game actually exists.
