Avowed developer reassures players about the visuals of the game

While the Xbox Games Showcase was extremely well-received by spectators, people still had a few bones to pick, specially with Obsidian's next RPG, Avowed, which was at the target of many remarks.

Indeed, the recently unveiled trailer is not at all reassuring when it comes to the visual aspect of the game. In a series of posts, developer Briar Diem has put things into context. First of all, he points out that Avowed has not yet reached the alpha version stage, which indicates that many changes to the lighting and art direction in general remain be made between now and launch.

Diem also admits that the trailer does not do justice to the beauty of the games, stating that the title is "vast and open ", with a map larger than The Outer Worlds. We cannot wait for 2024!
