Ray tracing on Resident Evil Requiem is exclusive to the PS5 Pro on consoles

Only a few hours remain before you can play Resident Evil Requiem. In the meantime, the YouTube channel Digital Foundry has presented an in-depth look at the PS5 Pro version of Capcom's game.

While Sony's machine doesn't always bring major improvements to the biggest titles, things are different for this new Resident Evil. The PS5 Pro has a ray tracing mode that is exclusive to consoles.

With ray tracing enabled, the game runs at 60 frames per second, compared to 120 FPS when disabled. This second mode still suffers from frame rate drops, sometimes falling below 100 FPS. Ray tracing provides better lighting, reflections on most surfaces, and a more impressive visual rendering overall.

In any case, the PS5 Pro is the best console for playing Resident Evil Requiem.
