Phil Spencer bids farewell to the Xbox teams

As of Monday, Asha Sharma is the new president of Microsoft Gaming. She succeeds Phil Spencer, who held the position for almost 12 years.

On X, Aaron Greenberg, vice president of marketing for Microsoft games, shared a photo and a short video clip of this historic day for the brand. We see Spencer passing the torch to Sharma in front of the Xbox teams. Sarah Bond appeared to be absent from the gathering. Matt Booty, who has been appointed director of content at Microsoft Gaming, was present.

"An emotional day here for the team. So much love & appreciation for all Phil Spencer has done over the years for the team + gaming. Lots of optimism hearing commitments from Asha Sharma around great games, the return of Xbox, & her dedication to lead & learn into the next 25 years!"
