The new Xbox president believes great stories are done by humans, not AI

Newly appointed head of Microsoft Gaming, Asha Sharma has already spoken out in an interview with Variety. In it, she discusses her vision for the future of Xbox and the role that artificial intelligence will play.
Before taking up her new position, Sharma led the CoreAI project at Microsoft. This project involves developing consumer AI products such as Copilot. There was therefore some concern that there would be a complete shift towards these tools. But this will clearly not be the case.
Asha Sharma has stated that she "does not tolerate flawed AI" and that "AI has been an integral part of video games for a long time and will continue to be so". While AI will be used as a new growth engine at Xbox, Sharma believes that "great stories are created by humans".
Finally, the new president of Microsoft Gaming wants to "protect what we believe in while remaining open-minded about the future", all while acknowledging that the video game industry is undergoing major changes.
