The Elder Scrolls VI will be a classic Bethesda game, more in line with Oblivion and Skyrim

Todd Howard gave an interview to Kinda Funny Games on Wednesday. Naturally, the creative director and producer at Bethesda Game Studios was asked about The Elder Scrolls VI.

He clarified that the sixth installment will run on the Creation Engine 3, in a version that has been improved since Starfield. In addition, The Elder Scrolls VI will be closer to what players expect from a Bethesda game, going for a formula quite similar to that of Oblivion and Skyrim.

"I think in many ways, Fallout 76 and Starfield are a little bit of a creative detour [...] We're coming back to that classic style that we've missed, that we know really well."

Finally, Howard once again asked players waiting for The Elder Scrolls VI to be patient.

"It's still going to take some time [...] We're about to reach an important milestone internally. The majority of the studio is working on the game, as well as some of our partners [...] which represents more than 250 people."
