Sony to continue adding exclusives to PlayStation Plus months after release

Unlike Microsoft with Game Pass, Sony prefers to add its exclusives to PlayStation Plus long after their initial launch date. The Japanese manufacturer recently defended its commercial strategy.

In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Nick Maguire, Sony's vice-president in charge of subscriptions, declared that the company is very satisfied with this strategy. "We’re happy with our strategy. We’re seeing customers still get excited about those games and jumping in. For us, that’s working."

So Sony won't be changing its tune any time soon.
