, by Thibaut
Good news for Steam users! A newer version of the client just launched, with all the new features beta-tested in recent weeks. Yes indeed, Valve's madre some changes at various levels.
Firstly, and even if this change is not perceptible to players, it's a really important one. Valve has reorganized the code shared between the desktop client, Big Picture mode and Steam Deck, which will make it easier and quicker to implement future features.
Dialog boxes are now more pleasant to navigate, and other elements such as fonts, menus and colors have been slightly revised. Notifications have been given a facelift to make them more complete, with the addition of a historic. The in-game overlay benefits from a brand-new interface and unprecedented customization options.
In addition, a notepad has been introduced to Steam, allowing users to take notes and place images. We can also pin windows to the overlay of our choice, enabling them to be displayed in-game. Finally, some technical improvements have been made for Mac and Linux.
