Sledgehammer Games (Call of Duty) is working on an action RPG
, by Thibaut
Sledgehammer Games is a studio founded in 2009 and owned by Activision that has so far only worked on the Call of Duty franchise. Generally relegated to a supporting role on all titles since 2017, the company could soon be offering something new.
On LinkedIn, Ben Wanat, who was senior creative director at Sledgehammer until August 2025, says he worked on an as-yet-unannounced action RPG. He oversaw prototypes, world design, and even wrote books on the lore. We have no further information about this game.
It's also important to note that this action RPG may still be in production or may have been canceled along the way.
