Anthem's executive producer opens up in a video analysis lasting several hours

With Anthem's servers now shut down, rendering the game completely inaccessible nearly seven years after its release, former executive producer Mark Darrah has published a video analysis lasting nearly four hours on the game's development.

In this video, he goes into detail about the history of the project, from its conception to the end of its development as a live service, explaining the choices, internal difficulties, and changes in direction that marked its creation.

Darrah also discusses the impact of Anthem's development on other BioWare games, the mixed reviews it received upon release, and the failed attempts to revive it. He admits that the game had some good elements but never lived up to expectations, and discusses the lessons learned from this failure in a lengthy retrospective.
