Cloudhead Games has laid off 70% of its entire workforce

Founded in 2012 and specializing in VR, Cloudhead Games is facing significant difficulties at the start of this year. So much so, that the company has had to let go of a large portion of its employees.

In a statement, Cloudhead Games announced the departure of 70% of its teams. The firm pointed to economic factors linked to a lack of external funding and a VR sector that's in serious decline.

During its 14 years of existence, the studio has created titles such as Pistol Whip and Aperture Hand Lab. The latter is a VR experience set in the Portal universe and designed to showcase the capabilities of the Valve Index.
