NVIDIA officially reveals the new features of DLSS 4.5

Although the main details were already known, NVIDIA took advantage of CES 2026 to provide further details on the improvements brought by DLSS 4.5. The goal is to enable our games to run at up to 4K at 240 Hz with Path Tracing as an added bonus.

DLSS 4.5 will offer real added value thanks to its second-generation “Transformer” model. Five times more powerful than FP8 acceleration, it provides better temporal stability, reduced ghosting, and much more accurate anti-aliasing.

In addition, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation is capable of generating up to six artificial images to boost fluidity. This feature is dynamic in that it is able to adapt to the screen's refresh rate. For example, Black Myth: Wukong goes from 184 to 246 FPS on an RTX 5080.

Remember that Super Resolution by Transformer is available now for all RTX GPU owners. However, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation x6 will not be deployed until spring 2026 and only on RTX 50s.

Finally, NVIDIA has also announced that DLSS 4 is now available on more than 250 games. Future titles such as Pragmata, Phantom Blade Zero, and 007 First Light will also benefit from Path Tracing.
