Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is not expected to be released for several years

Star Wars fans were no doubt delighted to see the announcement of Fate of the Old Republic at the Game Awards. This is a highly anticipated project, as it is being directed by Casey Hudson, who previously directed the first Knights of the Old Republic and the Mass Effect trilogy.
Hudson revealed a few details in an interview with StarWars.com. During the interview, he confirmed that his team at Arcanaut Studios was only formed this year, which means that Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is still in the very early stages of production.
On Bluesky, Jason Schreier of Bloomberg estimated that the launch would not happen before 2030 at the earliest. He added humorously (or not?) that Fate of the Old Republic could be released on PS7.
