2K Games has hired the former heads of Perfect Dark for a new studio

After its cancellation last July, the reboot of Perfect Dark could have been saved by Take-Two Interactive. Despite the publisher's interest in the project, no agreement could be reached with Microsoft and the game was shelved.

However, all may not be lost. Journalist Jason Schreier has announced that former The Initiative head Darrell Gallagher and Perfect Dark director Brian Horton have taken charge of a new studio within 2K Games. Remember that the publisher is a subsidiary of Take-Two.

For now, we don't know what the two men and their team are working on. While it's unlikely to be Perfect Dark, a project inspired by the license could be in the works.
