The first player to reach hardcore level 100 on Diablo IV loses his character
, by Thibaut
The Hardcore difficulty of Diablo IV is proving to be quite a challenge! When players die, their character is permanently erased. That's why Blizzard has decided to reward players who reach level 100 in this extremely difficult mode.
And the first player to do so, Souaïb 'cArn' Hanaf, has unfortunately fallen victim to a bug with dramatic consequences. After reaching level 100, the player tried to complete the main quest and defeat the final boss, but an untimely server disconnection led to the final death of his barbarian.
Indeed, when a hero's life bar is almost empty, the user can choose to voluntarily disconnect from the server, regenerating all the character's health once reconnected. To prevent cheating, Blizzard considers such disconnection as a death. That's why Souaïb 'cArn' Hanaf has said goodbye to his avatar after 82 long hours in the game.
