In a recent interview with NME (via GamesRadar+), Freya Allan, the actress who plays Ciri in The Witcher, revealed that she had "seriously" considered leaving the series at the same time as Henry Cavill, who played Geralt of Rivia, the famous witcher.
According to her, she only found out about Cavill's departure one day before the information was made public. It came as a personal shock to her, as she wanted to "finish the series with the actor who played her adoptive father," but also to fans of the series.
In the end, as we see in the latest season available on Netflix, she chose to stay.
