Snow is coming back to Escape from Tarkov

Battlestate Games has announced that the next seasonal update will bring snow to Escape from Tarkov next December 10, 2025. This winter atmosphere will cover the maps with a white blanket, complete with appropriate visual and sound effects, including the characteristic sound of footsteps in the snow.

Snow has been a recurring element in the game for several years: there are some players that appreciate the aesthetics and believe it enhances immersion and atmosphere, while others find it problematic tactically, as it affects stealth and makes outfits more visible, which can pose challenges when infiltrating.
