Controversial FPS Six Days in Fallujah early access to launch on June 22

In 2009, Konami chose to withdraw as an editor from the Six Days in Fallujah Project. This tactical FPS developed by Highwire Games was to invite players to relive the second battle of Fallujah during the Iraq War in 2004. Over 100 marines and soldiers oversaw the producers, with many other military personnel criticizing the very nature of the game.

Nevertheless, development resumed in 2017 under the leadership of publisher Victura. Today we learned that early access will begin on June 22, and it will include four missions available in cooperative mode with up to four players. Urban maps will be procedurally generated at the start of each game, and while these missions will be played from the perspective of American soldiers, others with Iraqi troops will come at a later date.

The final version of Six Days in Fallujah will be out 2024 on PC and consoles. Let’s not forget that all this content and campaign is based on real-life events and battles.
