The Dead Space creator is trying to get EA to make a fourth entry

After the mixed reception of Dead Space 3 in 2013, EA's franchise went dormant for a decade before coming back with a remake of the first installment in January 2023.

But with the recent privatization of Electronic Arts and the publisher's desire to refocus on licenses that work, the future of Dead Space seems uncertain, to say the least. This doesn't scare Glen Schofield, the co-creator of the saga, who is trying to make a fourth installment.

In an interview with IGN, Schofield said he had "already made some calls" with the aim of developing Dead Space 4. He believes that EA's takeover could offer a new opportunity for the survival horror series. Finally, he added that Dead Space could really come into its own as a movie or TV series.
