No, Sony isn’t going to buy CD Projekt RED

Such a crazy rumor, huh? Well, it’s been making the rounds this weekend on social media and forums. And it all started with a supposed insider claiming on Discord that Sony was in talks with CD Projekt RED over a possible acquisition.

So… Yeah, not happening. On Twitter, a spokeswoman for the company responsible for The Witcher saga denied the claim. Ola Sondej simply said that “we are not in talks with Sony on this matter”. And that’s it for this whole affair.

Moreover, this same source also stated that Days Gone 2 was happening, even though Bend Studio had already confirmed before that they are working on a new license. Several members of the company openly mocked the rumor on Twitter.
