After Redfall rocky debut in early May, it’s now The Lord of the Rings: Gollum’s turn in the spotlight following disastrous scores by the press. It’s no doubt the game has a poor reception, given that it’s filled to the brim with bugs that bring down the whole experience.
Daedalic Entertainment is well aware of this, and has put out a press release without delay. In a pretty long statement, the German studio deeply apologizes for the poor quality of the game.
“We would like to sincerely apologize for the underwhelming experience many of you have had with The Lord of the Rings: Gollum upon its release. We acknowledge and deeply regret that the game did not meet the expectations we set for ourselves or for our dedicated community. Please accept our sincere apologies for any disappointment this may have caused.”
The studio also adds that it has begun work on fixing the crippling issues currently affecting the game, with a first patch expected to be released this Saturday, May 27.
