THQ Nordic offers to produce the physical versions of Alan Wake 2
, by Thibaut
If the presentation of Alan Wake 2 during the PlayStation Showcase turned out to be very convincing, Remedy Entertainment's game was subsequently caught up in controversy. Indeed, this second installment will not have a physical release in our stores. We will have to settle for digital editions across all platforms.
The Finnish studio expressed its views on the matter by pointing out the dominance of digital sales over physical format worldwide. Furthermore, Remedy emphasizes that its decision will allow Alan Wake 2 to be sold at a lower price (€49.99 on PC and €59.99 on consoles). Unfortunately, not all players have fully understood these justifications...
But the publisher THQ Nordic could don the savior's cape! On Twitter, the publisher openly proposed producing physical editions of Alan Wake 2. THQ adds that there are many people who still appreciate good old boxes while inviting Epic Games (the game's publisher) to consider this proposal.
