Intel responds to its partnership with NVIDIA: Arc GPUs are not going anywhere
, by Quentin
The announcement of the strategic partnership between Intel and NVIDIA, which plans to integrate RTX chiplets into future Intel SoCs and use Intel processors in NVIDIA data centers, has raised questions about the future of Arc GPUs.
When questioned by PC World, an Intel spokesperson stated:
"We’re not discussing specific roadmaps at this time, but the collaboration is complementary to Intel’s roadmap and Intel will continue to have GPU product offerings."
This response suggests that the Xe3 architecture is still on track. Discussions between the two companies have been ongoing for several months, and the first joint products will not arrive for another year or two.
