Capcom wants to focus on Onmisha: Way of the Sword rather than on remastering Onimusha 3

The Onimusha franchise is back on the news. Last May, Capcom released a remaster of the second entry. Next year, Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be available on consoles and PC.

Despite this great news, many fans are asking for a remaster of Onimusha 3: Demon Siege. It was released in 2004 on PS2 and later on PC. In an interview, producer Akihito Kadowaki addressed this request, explaining that his teams prefer to focus on Way of the Sword.

"We are well aware that there is a desire to see a remaster of Onimusha 3. It's a request we receive often. But currently, our team has about 170 people, and we are all focused on Way of the Sword. Taking someone away from this project to work on another remaster or side project would be detrimental to the current project, and we don't want to compromise Way of the Sword in any way."
