Resident Evil Requiem is also planned for the PS4 and Switch 2

Currently announced for February 27, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, Resident Evil Requiem could also be coming to other platforms. At least, that's what insider Dusk Golem gives away in a message posted on X.

He first points out that Capcom is using new technologies to develop this ninth installment. In particular, he mentions a new ray tracing system for lighting. As such, Resident Evil Requiem should greatly benefit from the power of current machines.

However, the devs are also said to be using other technologies in order to offer the game on PS4 and Switch 2. The famous RE Engine will remain relevant on both consoles. Thanks to Capcom's in-house engine, the game should run perfectly on the most powerful machines while also scaling down older hardware.
