Capcom denies Pragmata being a Mega Man title in disguise

There was quite a persistent rumor going on about Pragmata. Some believed that the title, which appeared to be a new IP, was actually part of the Mega Man series. The fact that the story takes place on a lunar base with robots as enemies was enough to raise doubts.

In an interview with VGC, producer Naoto Oyama clarified the situation. No, Pragmata is not a new Mega Man game.

"Pragmata is not a Mega Man game. It is a completely new game from Capcom. I was actually one of the producers on the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection as well, so I’m happy to see that people who love Mega Man are passionate about Pragmata too. From my standpoint, it’s nice to see people are being so positive about it."
