Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot summoned to court over harassment case
, by Thibaut
The harassment case involving former Ubisoft executives is far from over. The Bobigny court has just issued a summon to appear against Yves Guillemot, the publisher's current CEO.
He is therefore summoned to appear before the French courts on October 1, 2025. Ubisoft has confirmed this information to the Tech&Co teams. This subpoena was issued by the Solidaires Informatiques union and the four individuals who took part in the trial last June. The lawsuit targeted Serge Hascoët, Tommy François, and Guillaume Patrux. It should be noted that at that time, no criminal proceedings had been brought against Ubisoft and Yves Guillemot.
Ubisoft is now being summoned as a legal entity. HR Director Marie Derain will also have to appear in court. The unions promise to bring new evidence to prove that there is a link between the company's management and the toxic behavior of its former executives. For its part, the company says it wants to "continue to cooperate with the justice system whenever necessary, as it has done over the past five years."
In a statement, Ubisoft Vice President Cécile Russeil reiterated the company's commitment to protecting its employees.
"Our priority is to ensure absolute respect for the physical and moral integrity of our employees, as part of a policy of prevention and zero tolerance for sexual or moral harassment, sexist behavior, assault, insults, or discrimination of any kind."
