Resident Evil Requiem could be the last entry featuring Leon Kennedy

There are many rumors about Resident Evil Requiem making the rounds. The game will be at Gamescom 2025 next week, and we should learn more about the story there. In fact, an iconic character from the series is expected to make a comeback.

According to insider Dusk Golem, Resident Evil Requiem will be the "last major role in the timeline" for our dear Leon Kennedy. However, he is expected to appear in other projects such as CGI films.

"Leon and Grace are the main protagonists of Resident Evil Requiem, yes. I'm repeating myself a bit, but that's how it will end up being. Both play an important role, but I think that ultimately, this game will be seen more as Leon's farewell game."

The insider also reveals that the press will publish previews of the game starting August 20. Resident Evil Requiem will also be at the Tokyo Game Show in September.
