There's a lot going on with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl , starting with the release of the PS5 version on a date yet to be announced.
In the meantime, GSC Game World has detailed the future additions and other improvements that will be made to the game before the end of the year. The most significant change is that the Ukrainian studio intends to migrate to the Unreal Engine 5.5.4, which will bring additional features and tools that will improve the overall experience. The developers warn that this migration "could disrupt the schedule for other updates."
Also on the agenda are a master difficulty level, additional missions, map events, new weather types, and an overhaul of the loot system. All this will be accompanied by better gameplay balancing, interface changes, and overall performance improvements.
