Crimson Desert has been delayed to Q1 2026

Although Crimson Desert was expected to be unveiled at Gamescom next week and was scheduled for release at the end of the year, Pearl Abyss has finally confirmed a slight delay.
During its financial results presentation, the South Korean company announced that the action-adventure will now be released during the first quarter of 2026.
"The launch of Crimson Desert, our first large-scale AAA console game, has been inevitably delayed by one quarter from the previously announced schedule. This delay is due to longer-than-expected lead times resulting from schedule coordination and collaboration with multiple partners for offline distribution, voiceovers, console certification, and other launch preparations. We sincerely apologize for not being able to meet the originally promised fourth-quarter (2025) launch schedule. Please understand that this is a strategic decision aimed at ensuring the game's success on a large scale."
Pearl Abyss subsequently stated that the internally decided release period is the first quarter of 2026. The company will announce a new date shortly.
