Pokémon TCG Pocket will get a major update this year in order to keep players engaged

Pokémon TCG Pocket has built up a large community since its launch in October 2024. However, DeNA wants to improve one specific aspect of its strategy.
During the last quarter, the mobile game attracted an average of 39 million monthly active players. While this figure remains satisfactory, the retention rate of existing users is declining compared to the initial launch period. The developer therefore intends to implement "initiatives to improve retention rate and login frequency, such as enhancement of collection experience."
To this end, DeNA plans to roll out a major update before the end of 2025. We'll get more details on the matter at a later date.
