Silent Hill f puts the focus on action to appeal a new generation of gamers
, by Quentin
When it releases on September 25, Silent Hill f will bring a more actiony approach than previous entries in the franchise.
According to producer Motoi Okamoto and director AI Yang, with this choice, they aim to revamp the formula and attract a wider audience, particularly those unfamiliar with the earlier entries in the franchise.
"We didn't want to keep doing Silent Hill 2 over and over again, we knew there was no reason to keep making clones of it."
"So, in order to avoid replicating previous major entries, we decided to put more emphasis on action."
The game also sands out in the series for its 1960s Japan setting, with a high school girl, Hinako Shimizu, as the protagonist.
