Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is reportedly facing (more) development issues
, by Thibaut
There is some doubt surrounding the release of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond this year. For now, Nintendo is sticking to its claim that the game will be released in late 2025, but has not shared any new images.
According to KiwiTalkz on X, the game's development gone through a new hiccup. This is reportedly why the marketing campaign has been halted. However, the insider adds that this is not a major concern. Production is still ongoing, and KiwiTalkz says it is unclear whether Metroid Prime 4 will be delayed until next year.
Of course, all of this should be taken with a grain of salt. Nintendo may simply be waiting until development is nearly complete before communicating about the game. The Japanese manufacturer may be opting for a communication strategy similar to that of Rockstar Games with GTA VI.
Finally, according to the insider, Metroid Prime 4 was originally supposed to be released during the Switch 2 launch window. A delay would have been decided internally.
