According to a former Rockstar employee, GTA 7 will cost less than GTA 6 thanks to AI

Yes, Grand Theft Auto VI isn't out yet, and yet we're going to talk about its hypothetical successor. In a recent interview, former Rockstar Games developer Obbe Vermeij gave his first impressions of GTA VII.

He believes that "most of the work will probably be replaced" by generative AI. He believes that AI will be able to generate graphics in place of team members.

He even adds that "GTA 7 will be cheaper to design than GTA 6", again thanks to AI.

"I don't think there will be a bigger game than GTA 6 because a lot of these things will be taken care of by AI, whether we like it or not. So I think these artists who are making maps or huge scenes will be partly taken over by AI in the next five years or so."
