Donkey Kong Bananza is being made by the Super Mario Odyssey team

This rumor had been making the rounds since the announcement of the game itself, before being confirmed some two weeks before its release. Yes, Donkey Kong Bananza is being done by the people behind the excellent Super Mario Odyssey.

The very Nintendo vice president of player and product experience Bill Trinen confirmed this during a recent hands-on session with the game. This bodes well for the release of Donkey Kong Bananza on Switch 2 this July 17.
